Applications

A modern automobile has dozens of compound electronic devices on-board. Increasingly, CAN bus is used for data exchange between devices. The purpose of MasterCAN products is integration of automobile CAN bus and elements of transport telematics systems. MasterCAN devices are intended to put the operation of telematics terminals with CAN input to a qualitatively new level and allow you to:

  • safe data readout of automobile CAN bus

  • organization of telematic CAN bus with maximum needed dataset

  • intelligent combining of several CAN buses

  • signal reception of analog sensors, their digital conversion and transmitting to the CAN bus

  • identification of the necessary information inside the CAN bus and its transmitting over interfaces that are available in telematic terminal (analog, RS-232, RS-485)

MasterCAN V-Gate

MasterCAN V-GATE is used in vehicle telematics systems to receive parameters of the vehicle operation from CAN and J1708 onboard buses. It is suitable for any type of vehicles (trucks, buses, agricultural machinery) where J1708 and/or CAN buses are used, e.g. vehicles manufactured by Volvo, Freightliner, Cummins.

A telematics tracking device with CAN or RS-232 input interfaces may be used to receive data. For more details regarding the interface adjustment, the protocol used and the contents of the transmitted data please see the MasterCAN operation manual.

There are several options to connect MasterCAN V-GATE to operate as a part of a telematics system.

MasterCAN 232/485

MasterCAN C 232/485 is used in fleet telematics systems to receive data on parameters of the vehicle operation from the standard CAN bus. It is suitable for any type of vehicles (trucks, buses, agricultural machinery) where CAN is used.

A tracking device with RS-232 or RS-485 input interface may be used to receive data. Details regarding the interface adjustment, protocol and contents of the transmitted data are available in MasterCAN vehicle data interface operation manual.
